I’ve finally returned after a little sojourn to Mexico and The States. Before you get visions of me forgetting all about One lush day and kicking back by a pool with a cocktail (well this did happen), I’ll just say that I didn’t do this for the entirety of the trip. In fact I managed to take some time out from handing over our credit card to NY shop assistants to pop into a beautiful bridal salon to meet their marketing director and check out their divine dresses. More on this and other Northern Hemisphere weddingy things that I encountered during my trip over the coming weeks. Today however, I want to share a wedding with you that I’ve been meaning to share for ages. It’s the union of Tim and Rosy who are a couple of nurses from Melbourne.
Tim and Rosy’s story began when Tim was working at Target and one day Rosy went with her mother to return some ill fitting underwear. After striking up a conversation during the return of said underwear, they soon discovered that they lived around the corner from each other and were both studying nursing at the same uni! They spent the next few years propping up Gloria Jeans with their coffee dates and it soon came time for the big proposal. Their proposal story is littered with “love lies” and trickery – Tim even goes as far as moving dirty dishes OUT and BACK INTO the dishwasher so that Rosy wouldn’t catch onto anything! This man is cunning! It’s best to hear it straight from the man himself and since it’s an epic story, I thought it’s easiest for you to jump on over to their wedding website here to have a read. Impressive effort by Tim!
So you’ve heard a bit about this cute couple, well here’s some shots from their day. They had the smarts to engage Australia’a most fabulous event planners, Georgeous to do their ceremony and reception styling. If this didn’t win me over already, I was hooked when I saw that their reception was at the Mountain Goat Brewery in Richmond. For the uninitiated, the Goat is a boutique Melbourne brewery. You can go there to drink only on Wednesday & Friday nights, their combination of tasty beers and woodfired pizzas are a massive hit. Such a brilliant idea to hold a wedding reception there – you’ll know why when you scroll down to the pics!
Melanie from Cecilia Fox has rocked these flowers (and berries and chillies). I love this gal’s style.
Don’t you love all the Tim loves Rosy screenprinting? Well not only does it look fabulous but it actually has a little back story. Even since Rosy & Tim started seeing each other, whenever he wrote her a birthday, Christmas card etc. he would always write “P.S – I like you” down the bottom. Soon after that, whenever he gave a card to any of Rosy’s family, he would write “P.S. – I like Rosy” down the bottom. I can testify that this tradition continues to this day – that’s how Tim signed off his emails to me!
Interested in seeing a few snaps from Tim & Rosy’s ceremony? They’ve been promised exclusively to another blog but you can jump onto their photographer Brent Lukey’s blog to check them out here. So much love!
